Tystiolaeth gadarn Brenin nef
  Yw'r sylfaen gref a sai';
Ei nabod yw'r oruchaf fraint
  I mi, er maint fy mai.

N'âd fi foddloni mewn rhyw rith
  O grefydd heb ei grym,
Rho wir adnabod Iesu Grist
  Yn fywyd anwyl im'.

  Mi ymddiriedaf yn ei Air
  N'âd fi foddloni ar ryw rith
  Plant ydym eto dan ein hoed

The firm witness of the King of heaven
  Is the strong foundation that stands;
Knowing him is the supreme privilege
  To me, despite my sin.

Do not let me be content with any illusion
  Of belief without its power,
Grant a true knowing of Jesus Christ
  As dear life to me.
